The StretchFit difference and what it means for you

StretchFit uses a method called PNF or contract/relax stretching. Although this sounds complex, it's simple to perform and vastly improves flexibility. Its use is common in physiotherapy and osteopathy.

StretchFit is for injury prevention, rehab, stress reduction, pain management, sports recovery and performance enhancement. And, of course, for anyone who wants to feel great again!

We use the equipment to target specific muscles and facilitate maximum support and relaxation in each stretch. Our approach is to isolate the body's compartments and stretch them methodically.

What to expect in your StretchFit Class

Our Stretchfit sessions are for everybody; they're all about you, not your pose. We offer a chilled, friendly studio, as relaxation is the key to stretching success!

During your first visit, you will be assessed, and a stretchfit program will be completed according to your needs. All our classes are instructor-led, whereby you will be shown how to stretch on the equipment and learn self-stretching approaches during the session. Feel free to ask questions at any time during the session.

Every class covers all the body's major muscle groups precisely, methodically and gently. Each stretch is held for approximately two minutes and should only be held at the point of tension. Unlike other forms of exercise, stretching and pushing yourself too hard do not bring better results. It's time under tension that matters most.

We offer individual and group classes, although injured or elderly might initially feel more comfortable in a private 1-2-1 environment.

A full range of movement is essential for quality of life. No other activity increases flexibility as safely and effectively as StretchFit stretching. Most other activities decrease the range of motion. We say, "while aerobic activity and strength training might keep you alive, stretching will make it worth being alive!"

Reduce Chronic Pain

Back pain is the number one health complaint in the world. We see more and more clients coming to our studio with back pain than any other complaint. Body pain and osteoarthritis are also enormous problems in our sedentary city environments, and stretching is a natural antidote.
